During my internship at Internetbureau Brancom I got the chance to build a unique website for Heemzicht, a cozy residential care center. This project was special because it required customization – built from scratch with HTML, PHP and the Bootstrap 5 framework for responsiveness and dynamics. The custom styling was done with SCSS.

A website should be alive, and you achieve that through interactive elements. For Heemzicht I implemented this by means of jQuery and JavaScript. Visitors can now easily browse through FAQs with a handy accordion and enjoy a visually appealing carousel/slider that presents highlights. These features make the website not only functional but also engaging.

A website that looks good is one thing, but one that is also easy to manage is another story. That is why we chose WordPress as the backbone of the Heemzicht website. This allows the staff to effortlessly update content – whether it is changing text or adding new images. The result? A website that is as flexible as the care center itself.
